The gender wage gap in the United States is real. Over the course of her career the typical American woman working full time will lose $431,000 in wages. By White House estimates, that money is enough to buy a house, put two kids through a public college, purchase 21,000 gallons of gas, or feed a family of four for 6.4 years. Women working full time earn at least 21% less than white men. AAUW is fighting the wage gap with its Smart Start and Work Smart workshops. This two-hour event explains how AAUW teaches women who are starting out or are already working to negotiate for what they are worth and how you or your organization can pave the way to pay equity.
Register by March 7, 2016 at Eventbrite. The fee is $5.00.
